The SFPE Guidelines for Peer Review in the Fire Protection Design Process define "peer review" as the evaluation of the conceptual and technical soundness of a design to judge the worthiness of a design or to assess a design for its likelihood of achieving the intended objectives and the anticipated outcomes. Peer reviewers should be qualified by their education, training and experience in the same discipline, or a closely related field of science, as the engineer(s) who prepared the design. |
